Madisen's Project

Growing up in California I have gained a unique love for the ocean and water, yet I have also realized the strong impacts this has on our community. I hope to petition the reopening of a community pool in my small town to act as a gateway to water education. With experience in Child Development and lifeguarding, I have seen first hand the utter importance of water safety, especially for our youth.

I hope to bring this opportunity to give our schools access to direct water education and activities, to prompt elderly programs as a way to foster publicity for the topic of water, give more access to job opportunities to the community, and serve as a foundation for our community to come together as one.

Water education is more than just what water is and how to be safe in water, it's education on how our planet works and what impacts we make in the world each and every day. I want to use the pool as a platform for our community to prompt wellbeing and unity through what our world already has for us, water.
