About the Team
World Water Hub (WWH) consists of a team of professionals and undergraduate and postgraduate students who implement the mission and vision of the project, coordinate the interactive platform and all resources, develop relationships with organizations, and lead all day-to-day operations of the organization. The organization is advised by a Board of Advisors, who oversee the logistics, funding, and operations.

Founder & Executive Director
Ayo Oum Shanti
Ayo serves as the Founder and Director of World Water Hub, in addition to her role on the advisory committee. She has always had a special relationship with water having been taught at a very young age to respect both the nurturing/healing aspects of water as well as its power and force in nature. She has a BA in English (Hunter College, CUNY) and water is a theme that runs through her published works, including prose, poetry, and the novel The Red Qipao. She also has an MA in Emergency and Disaster Management (Metropolitan College of New York). She has traveled often to India to learn from individuals and communities about how they mitigate challenges associated with water conservation.

Samiha Sharma
Samiha hails from Jammu and Kashmir. Born and raised amidst the
breathtaking valleys and picturesque landscapes, Samiha developed a deep appreciation for her homeland's beauty and culture. From an early age, she displayed a keen interest in exploring new horizons and embracing diverse experiences. Driven by her passion for economics and business, Samiha pursued her higher education at Delhi University, where she specialized in Business Economics. Her time at the prestigious institution exposed her to a world of knowledge and equipped her with a strong foundation in analytical thinking and problem-solving skills. Samiha aims to combine her knowledge of economics with her love for the environment, working towards a more sustainable and inclusive future for her beloved Jammu and Kashmir, as well as the entire nation.
Content and Grant Strategist
Lara Kowalcyk
Lara is a recent graduate of Wellesley College with a double major in Math and Environmental Studies. She is passionate about making information accessible and working to make sure everyone lives in a clean and safe environment. Lara loves hiking and surfing. She wants to ensure that future generations have the opportunity to explore a safe and beautiful world. She is currently traveling to Southeast Asia, and hopes to get better at surfing!
Outreach and Communications Director
Suzanna Schofield
Suzanna has been passionate about human-environmental conflicts for as long as she can remember. Double-majoring in Environmental Studies and Peace and Justice Studies at Wellesley College with concentrations in water conservation, sustainable community development, and public health, she believes that global collaborative community-based initiatives focused on co-existence and restoration with a One Health lens will be the most effective in establishing climate resilient communities. Suzanna is involved in the leadership of many environmental initiatives and organizations including Wellesley College EnAct, Sustainable Hope In Real Action Foundation, the Rachel Carson Council, and more.
Development and Membership Organizer
Tehreem Qureshi
Tehreem is a junior at Columbia University studying Climate System Science. She is passionate about climate activism and community collaboration for sustainability action, as well as climate justice in South Asia. At Columbia, she has been involved in geochemistry research at the Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory, a fellow for the Factory Farming Awareness Coalition, and has worked at Argonne National Laboratory for climate justice in Chicago and remote sensing instrumentation. She is currently pursuing research with the Climate Systems Center for Research, working on machine learning and climate modeling at the Columbia Climate School and NASA GISS. Her love for the environment came from the many hours she spent canoeing and camping in Wisconsin, upstate New York, and Death Valley.

Barbara Goodwin
​​Barbara Goodwin works as a co-producer of fine antique, art, design, and jewelry shows in various markets throughout the country. She was previously the Show Director of the AVENUE Antique, Art and Design Show at the Park Avenue Armory in NYC and prior to that, had a long career in various areas of magazine publishing. Her humor essays have appeared in The New York Times and The Jewish Forward. She is a graduate of Simmons University with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications.
Stephen Greenlee
Stephen Greenlee, a graduate from the University of California at San Diego in Biochemistry and Cellular Biology, is a passionate outdoorsman and advocate for water conservation and sustainability. He currently serves as a Board Member of World Water Hub, a non-profit organization connecting citizens and scientists in an open, collaborative platform dedicated to sharing knowledge and solutions that address global water issues. Previously, Mr. Greenlee has volunteered in other community and nationally based organizations including The Boy Scouts of America and city committees in which he advised on matters related to recreation programs, activities, and facilities. When not enjoying the bounty of nature, Mr. Greenlee works in strategic sales management for a global consulting firm.
Min Kim
Seeing this world as an ensouled place, Min Kim strives to always engage with other individuals, the community, and nature in a genuinely respectful manner with goodwill. Min hopes to always make contributions to creating an environment of peaceful reciprocity and practice the philosophy of 'simple living and high thinking'.
